The Artists' Social Insurance Fund (KSK) can only pay you the correct subsidy if it knows the amount of your premiums for private or voluntary statutory health and long-term care insurance. Therefore, you should notify the KSK of any changes to your premiums.

The Künstlersozialkasse will advise you on all questions relating to artists' social insurance.

If you have voluntary or private health insurance, you can apply for a subsidy toward your health insurance premiums.

If you have overpaid your premiums for statutory health insurance and long-term care insurance, you can apply to your health insurance provider for a refund.

You can receive subsidies from your statutory health insurance provider for dental prostheses. The health insurance provider covers the costs of implants only in exceptional cases. Insured individuals with low incomes may be eligible for financial assistance.

If you are staying or working abroad for an extended period of time, this may affect your German social security coverage. You must notify the Artists’ Social Security Fund of any change in your situation in a timely manner.

If you suspect that a veterinary drug or vaccine is causing adverse effects in an animal, a person, or the environment, report it to the appropriate authority. You should follow the same procedure for a human medication that has been used on an animal.

If you are insured through the Artists' Social Insurance Fund, you must submit an annual income estimate.

If your income or assets are not sufficient to cover your necessary living expenses, you will receive support in financing your contributions to health insurance and long-term care insurance under certain conditions.

If you do not pay your contributions to the artists' social security fund regularly, you will have to pay for your medical treatment yourself.
